Skylix Insights provides simple, practical, free-to-use decision tools designed to help everyday farmers evaluate products, practices, and ideas with clarity—not complexity.

These tools are built on transparent assumptions, Bayesian thinking, and decades of real-world experience. They are not meant to sell anything. They are meant to empower you.

Whether you’re a farmer, a consultant, or a technical representative, these tools help you answer three essential questions:

Will this likely help my farm?
What’s the probability it will work under my conditions?
Is this a wise and faithful use of resources?

No pressure. No agenda. Just tools that help you think clearly.

Why It Exists

After more than 30 years in the animal agriculture industry, I (Kevin) realized something simple:

Farmers deserve unbiased decision support.

Not sales pressure.
Not complexity.
Not another “new” thing with flashy marketing.

Just clarity.

Skylix Insights exists so farmers can make confident, faithful decisions without needing a Ph.D., a big budget, or a consultant standing at the door.

How It Works

Tier 1: Free Tools
Practical, entry-level tools anyone can use—simple, non-technical, and designed to make everything else easier or unnecessary.
Tier 2: (Deeper tools are in development)
Future versions may explore addition decision factors (e.g., feed efficiency, livability, health outcomes). These will be shaped by feedback from producers using the free tools. Affordable, practical, and grounded in simplicity.
Higher Tiers (Optional)
For consultants, technical reps, or companies who want to learn how to teach farmers the same approach with integrity and transparency.
Always built upward from the farmer’s experience—not down from corporate priorities.

Who I Am

My name is Kevin Herkelman, and I’m a lifelong student of animal nutrition, Bayesian thinking, and faithful stewardship.

But none of these matter unless the tools help you.

This work is not about me, credentials, or a corporate story.
It’s about giving farmers something real, useful, and simple.
